Jinkies! pt 2

my tablet broke a few months back. So I've been taking advantage of trying to advance my inking skills, as well as refining the "style" in which I want to work in.
Velma is looking a bit stiff, and tame compared to the other pieces I've been working on but I still enjoy her.

Hunger

She looks at me with her clouded eyes. They used to have a life in them at one point, but somewhere, somehow in time, that life faded. So she looks at me with her clouded eyes. The eyes that tell no story, have no mystery, nothing. Yet she is looking at me. But her mouth, her mouth says "I am hungry". Her mouth moves, yet the words don't come out. She says, "Feed me, food, drugs, sex, lies, hate, anything. Fill me with something. I am hungry." Her eyes hold no mysteries, so all can see that she is hollow, but she is looking at me. She asks me to feed her something, anything. I tell her no, and she looks past me, without a breath being taken. She looks at another, glazed over, showing nothing, feeling nothing and she says with her mouth agape "I am hungry."

BLOOD IN THE STREETS

Started watching Samurai Champloo again and almost by association, jamming to the 36 Chambers by The Wu Tang Clan.  It was a fun piece to do, although it was on bigger paper than my scanner and the line work is a little stiff for my liking, it was fun nonetheless. Music, not just hip-hop, is really crucial to how I work, so I'm working on letting it influence my line movement a little more.

I HAVE NO LIIIIIIFE

A quick, 1 hour, flat color drawing on Ps.  Working on a few things.  It's good to see some progress in my art folder.  Even from a few months ago, i feel myself getting a tad better in certain areas, but NEVER GOOD ENOUGH, ha.  So, on goes the never-ending reach for the next possible level.  Study awaaaay!

I dance while I draw now.

Listening to too much electronic music I suppose lol.  Also, I have been studying a little more high fashion photography here and there.  A lot of it has really interesting color schemes.  Also I love the way some of the more "fearless" designers and photographers choose to dress and make up their models.  This is one of many products to come of this study.
